Food for thought
Imagine you are holding a cup of tea when someone comes along and bumps into you which shakes your arm, making you spill your tea everywhere.
Here’s a simple question.
Why did you spill the tea?
Because someone bumped into me!!!
WRONG ANSWER…. surprisingly
You spilled the tea because there was tea in your cup.
Had there been coffee in your cup you will have spilled coffee. Whatever is inside the cup is what will come spilling out if you’re not careful of your surroundings.
Therefore, when life comes along and shakes things up a bit (which will surely occur…several times) whatever is inside of your cup will trickle, spill out or pour over. Sure, you could fake it, until you become rattled.
So, let’s ask ourselves these questions…. What’s in my cup? When life gets tough, what spills over?
Is it joy, gratitude, peace, and humility?
Is it anger, bitterness, victim mentality and quitting tendencies?
POV: Life provides the cup; YOU choose how and what to fill it with and then protect it with your life.
Today, let’s work towards filling our cups with the most significant and meaningful things such as gratitude, forgiveness, joy, words of affirmation, resilience, positivity, kindness, generosity, and love for others.
This can be life changing for yourself and someone else!!!
