Affordable Home Care only provides service in the state of Pennsylvania and only in the following counties: Lancaster, Berk, Buck, Carbon, Chester, Delaware, lancaster, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, Susquehanna. Clients must live in these counties in order for us to provide services and employees must be able to travel for work to these counties in order to be employed with Affordable.

Our pay rates will vary based on a case by case basis taking in consideration client’s needs, applicant’s experience, and hours being worked. Rates are only discussed in person and applicants may contact our office directly. Affordable Home Care does offer medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and paid time off to our full time employees. Medical plan options start at $0 cost to the employee. Affordable Home Care offers Non-Skilled Services for consumers requiring Personal Assistance (PAS) of daily living directly in their own home. Depending on the individual such services might include but are not limited to, getting up and ready for work, bathing, dressing, cooking, cleaning, or running errands.

All applicants prior to becoming a caregiver must complete and pass the Direct Care Worker Competency test to receive their Direct Care Worker Certificate as well as a health and criminal screening. The Licensing test and Certificate of Completion may be obtained on the Department of Human Services web site http://services.dpw.state.pa.us/pch_comptest/ or directly with Affordable Home Care. Yes, we are licensed to operate in the following counties; Lancaster, Berks, Lehigh, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia.

All caregivers are required to take tests on CareConnect where you will learn specific skills and earn 19 certifications. Caregivers are required to complete a minimum of 12 hours of in-service yearly to ensure their value of understanding

Affordable Home care has our very own Intake Department. Our enrolment specialist are trained and knowledgeable in assisting in the process of applying for free waiver services. Specialist are hands-on with each step along the way.

Situations may arise when you will need to cancel a visit or schedule additional care. Someone from our agency is always on-call after hours and on weekends to make these schedule requests or assist with any emergency needs.

Yes at the time of hire all new employees are screened and are continued on an annual basis. Affordable Home care strongly believes that clinical supervision is important to ensure patient safety, quality service, safety and oversight is maintained.

Yes! It is actually offered at the time we identify that agency staffing is needed. That developed trust, relieves stress and discomfort and allows the client and caregiver to get a sense of whom they will work with.

Yes, Affordable home care believes clients receive more personalized one on one care daily when using someone they know. Family and friends, while caring for your needs offers companionship and compassion.

Yes, once you are under our agency and we are authorized to provide services, consumer is immediately assigned to their very own Care Coordinator. The Care Coordinator will reach out and complete an over the phone introduction and will schedule an in-home visit within 7 days to complete admission and develop client Plan of Care.

If at any time you become unsatisfied with your caregiver please call us immediately. Let’s discuss, find a solution and plan for better days of how we can ensure quality services is being provided at all times. Ultimately you may request a change in caregivers at any time and without reason.

Yes! We provide services 24/7. Hours are based on client preference. However we do not provide live-in care.
